Well done to the swimmers who have achieved consideration times, and also to those who did PBs and got medals and generally swam well. I think you might want to have a chat about which events you wish to enter and just follow what Jillian has suggested you do in this email before we have a chat.
Kind regards, Speth
Good Afternoon Folks,
Thanks to all who attended yesterday and to the support of Helensburgh Swimming Pool, Active Schools, schools, swimming clubs, parents and senior pupils who made the event as successful as it was.
I have attached the results for each age group and highlighted in yellow those who have reached consideration times for the Brodies Scottish Schools Championships in Aberdeen in January. I have also attached tables with the male and female qualifiers and highlighted some instructions for the next steps.
It is important that you pass on to your swimmers that although they have reached consideration times this does not guarantee a place in the national championships. I would encourage those swimmers who have to make a choice over which event(s) to enter to look closely at the results from the finals last year to give them an idea of the times likely to reach the finals. This year the championships will be held in a 10 x 50m pool rather than the 6 x 50m pool from last year – this means more places in the finals!
The top 20 times in age groups 12 & U, 13/14 and 15/16 and the top 10 times in age group 17 – 19 from all entries in Scotland will reach the finals.
Can I ask that all swimmers’ choices are with me by FRIDAY 14th NOVEMBER please.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.
